Bricklaying Teacher

The Windham School District is accepting applications for a Bricklaying Instructor vacancy at the Estelle Unit in Huntsville, Texas.

Minimum Qualifications for Certified Applicants: Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) teacher certification in Mathematics/Physical Science/Engineering -OR- Trade and Industrial Education with appropriate work approval -OR- a Vocational Trades and Industry with appropriate work approval -OR- any Agriculture, Technology Education, Industrial Technology, or Industrial Arts certificate.

Minimum Qualifications for Non-Certified Applicants: A high school diploma or GED with 5 years of full-time wage earning experience, within the last 8 years, in bricklaying -OR- a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of full-time wage earning experience within the last 8 years -AND- a deficiency plan from a college or university working towards vocational trades and industry certification. Vocational instructors shall obtain the required certification/license before the end of the contract year in which the teacher is first employed in order to maintain employment with the district.
